FAQ

Please contact me via the contact form and once we have secured a date, a location and you have decided on which package you would like, I will send you a standard contract, invoice and some info on what you need to prepare for your shoot. Your spot is secured as soon as you’ve paid the $200 booking fee (The booking fee is non refundable but can be used towards another shoot) From there we will discuss location, styling, clothing options and i’ll answer any questions you might have.

If it rains and we have scheduled an outdoor shoot, or if your child is sick we can just reschedule for another time free of charge.

The best time to capture a newborn baby is within the first 2 weeks because at this time they are more sleepy and less unsettled, but I really don’t mind what age your baby is, I’m confident we will have a great session regardless. It’s a good idea to make a tentative booking when you are pregnant and then confirm or change the booking after the bub is born.

Payment can be made via Bank Deposit. A deposit of $200 is to be paid at time of booking and the balance is to be paid the week of the shoot.

I find that the best colours are the neutral, earthy tones with a splash of colour thrown in here and there. Different textures and layers look great. No busy prints or logos and try not to match too much. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable. I’m always happy to help you with clothing choices before a shoot.

You will receive your online viewing gallery approximately 2 weeks after your shoot. From there we can decide which photos you’d like or we can even upgrade to a bigger package if you wish.

I’ll try to facilitate authentic interaction and I will usually just ask you guys to try and pretend I’m not there! I’ll direct you if I need to and I’ll encourage connection and lots of giggles. I’ll either have you hanging out together at home or at a special outdoor location during sunset to get that gorgeous golden light.

If your kids are not having any of it, I’ll put the camera down and we’ll have some chill out time. The best thing about lifestyle photography is that I don’t need your kids to be looking at the camera. If the parents are relaxed and everyone is willing to go with the flow, your session will be awesome. I allow 1-2 hours for the shoot, so we won’t ever feel too rushed.

The light we will get at a sunset session is well worth keeping your little ones up a bit later. In summer they start at around 7pm. I always suggest to try and give your kids a late nap and pack their pjs in the car so they can sleep on the way home. They are usually having so much fun at the beach that they forget they are even tired.

If it’s too stressful we can always organise an in-home family shoot, which can be done in the morning. These sessions are just as beautiful.

I am fully vaccinated, will be using hand sanitiser and will wear a mask on request when inside your home. I can also do a rapid test before I arrive for peace of mind if you like, please don’t hesitate to ask.
